We have recently purchased a Weber 220 gas grill for the motorcoach. I kind'a like the idea of utilizing the 100 gal LP tank of the motorhome to supply the grill. There is an extended stay/refill pipe (threaded) off of the main LP line near the tank. I can tell it's been used before because there is thread tape still on the exterior threads of the pipe. Has anyone had any experience using their coach LP to supply their grill?

We purchased a hose for the Weber Q; it was designed to allow you to hook directly to the 30 lb cylinder on the TT. Not sure, the connection on your motor home is compatible but I'm sure someone with a MH will lead you in the right direction. Do you have a pic of the extended stay/refill pipe connection??
Purchased mine on Amazon but here's a link to the hose I purchased.

Assuming the connection you have is a direct connection to the tank and not connected after some kind of a pressure regulator you will just need the proper hose connection that has the existing tank connection as one end and a connection that fits your grill just as if you had connected a gas bottle. You need the grill regulator and temp control to work so you don't want to make any modifications to that setup.

Where did Monaco hide that huge tank?

Betcha it is an 100 LB tank, not gallon. However, in the original post, a mention was made about a remote fill line. I am unaware of any approved method for filling a propane tank, let alone that any fill facility would hook up to any sort of connection other than the fill connection on the tank itself. Federal regulations mandate the fill connection into an auto-shutoff at 80 percent, with significant excessive flow and reverse flow shutoff devices. Propane fill locations are very, very leery of breaking the law. A portable tank more than 13 years old, they will not fill. And, they check.
I suspect the mentioned line is a low pressure connection meant for grill use. Most often, the regulator on the grill is removed to allow use. A member on another forum has repiped his propane tank to provide high pressure to the factory installed line.

I think what he may be talking about is a tee in the LP piping where as one can attach to a larger LP tank for extended stay. If that is the case it would not be suitable to use as a supply to any external device, it would be in line before the regulator and not to be used for anything except as an axuarilly supply to the coach LP system.

I have a low pressure connection that I used for a time to feed a stand alone grill and found this to be an unacceptable solution to cooking and returned to small bottles to power the grill.
