Anyone out there full timing or doing extended travel in a small motorhome like a 21' Chinook? If so, please tell me how you're doing and some positives and negatives of your experences.

Looks like no one here has experiance with small Motorhomes, so I'll give you a link to Mike and Heidi's Vantramp Blog http://www.vantramps.com/ that may lead you to some info.
They haven't posted for awhile but I'm sure there is some good info there or links to other sites about small RVs.
A few years ago, we met 2 couples that had been full-timing for 2 years in Class B MH's. They seemed to be enjoying themselves and said that they wanted to continue to full-time in them for at least another year.
You can full-time in just about anything if you're willing to live without much stuff.

We have a customer who full times in the Winnebago View which is 24' (I believe). They had a larger one in the 36-40' range and sold it to buy the View. They are very happy and just spend a lot more time outdoor than before. They really do love it.

We live in a Big Foot pickup camper - have been for 15 months and love it! Many said we would not make it in such tight quarters, but it works beautifully for us. We even winterized and stayed through the blizzard = had the time of our life!
Space is a premium, so it takes lots of thought and planning to make this work. The plus side is downsizing . . . getting rid of all the unnecessary stuff. That is a continual process, because things still pile up, we still accumulate stuff, and soon go through another cleansing! You just learn to make the best use of every space you have - and you also learn that everything has its place and must be put back where you found it!
Of course, having access to the beautiful area outdoors is what keeps us sane - we spend as much time outdoors as possible. Even through the winter, we piled on coats and gloves and boots and tromped through the snow - got to see some amazing views of snowfall on starry nights. Nice.
Our plan is to be on the road in November. We're getting a luggage carrier for the top of the camper to put extras . . . haven't decided if we'll keep the bikes, but would probably mount them on the front of the truck like we saw from another camper.
Small spaces aren't for everyone - but for us, we're as happy as can be - keeping it simple and easy. Plus, I love being able to clean my house in 15 minutes!
