I've been researching this particular Fleetwood model because we really like one of the floorplans. The problem is that apparently our closest Fleetwood dealer doesn't carry this model. In addition it appears that the dealers that do are far and few between. I'm curious as to the reason behind this spotty availability, and concerned about the supportability after a purchase. Anyone have insight into this?

Fleetwood was one of the motor coach companies that went through a bankruptcy during the RV downturn. The company which purchased them, purchased only the motorized RV portion of the Fleetwood comglomerate. They have gone through a scale down of many of the things the parent company was offering in order to stay in business. The new company, know as Fleetwood RV, is now recuperating and growing slowly. Many of the old dealerships are no more.
As far as supportablility, Fleetwood RV is one of the few motor coach companies that is still honoring their warranties of the past and supporting their products with field tech support at rallies. They also have a superb maintanence and support facility in Dcatur, IN where you can get almost anything done in the way of repairs on the coach. It might be out of the way to go there but at least they are suppporting their products.

ahoweth - thanks for the reply and info.
By the way...it's a small world. We live in Troy, MO and you passed about 20 miles to the south of us yesterday when you went by Wentzville (I-64 & I-70 interchange).

Truly a small world. I hope the severe weather left you folks alone this time around. It has been quite a ride this spring.
