Mike and I purchased a 2000 Fleetwood Prowler 5th wheel and started living in it 2 weeks ago. The tech at the dealership did our walk through with us and showed us how to do different things. However.....
I'm embarrassed to say neither one of us can remember how to turn the water pump on. I've tried poking around on the net with no results. We have the manual for the unit that just says 'turn on the switch' but doesn't say where the switch is. It refers you to the Owner Information Packet which wasn't available from the original owners.
The pump was working the night we boondocked in a rest area in Florida so we're sure that's not the problem. Somehow we must have turned it off but now we don't know how to turn it back on. There is a switch at the end of the kitchen counter on the base cabinet that looks like a light switch that doesn't seem to be connected to anything. Other than that, we don't know where to look - or even if it's supposed to be outside in a bay.
Can you tell we're really new and GREEN at this? LOL Would really appreciate someone's help. We're boondocking again tonight.

Since it's been a while with no knowledgeable response, mine is on the range hood and I've seen others there. Look near whatever gauges and tank sensors you might have. Also check the fuses, the switch you mentioned might be it. A faucet might have to be turned on for yours to start.
I have a 1990 Class C, so your milage may vary (I sure as heck hope it's better than mine!).

Ours is on the panel that shows water level and holding tank fullness levels. Did you try to call the manufacturer, or dealer? Good luck,

Thanks for the responses! Yep, it is at the bottom of the panel that shows tank levels and says 'PUMP'. DUH! I'll use the excuse that the printing is the same color as the panel so it didn't stand out. Guess we thought that was just to turn on the panel.
We are boondocking at a tire dealership tonight. One of the front tires on the truck blew its steel core this morning through the sidewall. Bit of a shock cause there were no cracks in the tire and plenty of tread so the tire seemed to be in good shape. Tire never completely lost air but we couldn't drive on it anymore. No one in the area we were driving through had a matching tire in stock but one dealership has ordered one that will be here tomorrow. They generously invited us to boondock at the rear of their building for the night.
Nice to know we'll have running water. LOL
As for calling the dealership.....That won't be happening any time soon. We had a lot of problems with them either not doing the work they were supposed to or misleading us. I've seen good recommendations for them online but am afraid we couldn't give them one.

If you have road service insurance, some of them offer over the phone technical assistance. Yours might too. Check it out.

I checked out that site called rvservicereviews and submitted one. Mike is checking into our roadside service to see if they offer technical assistance.
Weird thing happened tonight. We'd put the front power jacks down, unhitched the truck, got her level from front to back and then realized she wasn't level side to side. Raised her back up to put her back on the hitch in the truck while we put some planks down to level the side to side. The power jack motor stopped working. Dead as a door nail in both directions. None of the breakers have blown and we're at a loss. Mike hand cranked the jacks into place but feels there must be an easy fix that he's missing. One can only hope. Gloria

I had the same experience you two had. I had just left the dealership and went to an RV Park and set everything up when I realized nothing worked. After an hour of worrying something was seriously wrong I looked at a toggle switch by my door and realized I had not switched to my house batteries. It happens to all of us.

Very often it can be traced to either of: blown fuse on the landing gear, bad ground at landing gear, batteries depleted, 110/12V converter inoperative. In my case it was the battery. Worked fine, then just did not work. The landing gear are a heavy load and without a good charge on battery, it just does not function.

I also agree with checking the fuses. This happened to us several times in the first couple of months. I learned that I was extending the jacks a little too far and it would blow a fuse. We ended up buying several back up fuses until I figured out when to stop the extension.

I have one jack that will overheat while raising the 5th wheel. It has an internal breaker that trips. I have to wait about 10 minutes and then it will work again for a few minutes before tripping again.
