Well I've been sufficiently convinced that I want a Michelin tire rather than another brand but now my question is how many of you are using XRVs as opposed to XZEs?
I can apparently get XZE tires without a problem and am being told by at least one tire place that he has a lot of "rv clubs" and they all use XZE rather than XRV.
Another one tells me that the XRVs are better at long life having something in the tire which protects against UV damage.
My tires have plenty of tread, but they are now nearly 8 years old and the sidewalls are cracked.
Any opinions here?
Thanks again!

Hi Sherry
We just had Michelin tires installed for the same reason.
The best deal on RV tires that we found was at Costco.
I also like the fact that they use nitrogen gas (nitrous oxcide).
My vechicle tires are also Michelin tires purchased at Costco over a year ago,
and there has been no loss of pressure in all that time.
I was also impressed with the fact that they suggested that 8 ply tires
were available with higher load range for $7.00 additional per tire.
We are retired and have no affiliation with Costco. It just worked well for us.
Good luck and post what you ended up doing.

Now that's funny! (You will get the pun in a minute.)
The Nitrogen that they are filling tires with is N2. Nitrous Oxide (N2O) is what the dentist uses and is commonly referred to as ....wait for it....laughing gas.

(nitrous oxcide) should have read (Not nitrous oxcide)
either way I hope it brought on a Big laugh.

Yeah, if you will take the nitrous oxide out of the tires and inject it into the air inlet when under a hard pull, it will boost the horseppower quite dramatically. All the tuners use it, makes a very satisfying roar as it accelerates. 'Sides, that, it don't help the tires in the least.
