That is what Cinnamon was and will always be !!! Today is another sad day. We had to put our Cinnamon down this morning. She was 13 years old. I know that several of us have had to go through this recently. We woke this morning and she good not get up from her bed. DW sat with her for 20 minutes and then woke me up to let me know. After sitting with her I also tried to get her up by helping her but she was in to much pain. We eventually got her moving but we decided that we didn't want her to suffer another morning like this so we chose to have her put down. We know this day was coming, but it is never easy. Cinnamon was a great dog. She made most all of the camping trips with us and was always ready to go when the trailer was hooked up. She was definitely my dog and her and I were very close. We stayed with her till she fell asleep for the last time and I held her close. I know that she is now running and chasing squirrels like she use to and is with Granny ( my mother) Mom will take good care of her I know. I love you Cinnamon and thanks for 13 wonderful years. I will miss you !!!!!!

So sorry to hear about Cinnamon. The empty feeling you have right now has to be eased by the thirteen years of great friendship and memories.

Our furry children are so precious and dear. I hope you will find comfort in knowing that you loved her and always did what was best for her until the very end, even knowing how painful it would be. I'm so sorry for your loss. Penny

I am so sorry - I have been there and know how you feel... Here is something that I have posted next to my computer. I hope it helps in the smallest way.
BEYOND THE RAINBOW
As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,
I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade
I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free
Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.
I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, an on the other side
Were meadows rich and beautiful - lush and green and wide
And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see
Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be
My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new
And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do
I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright
That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright glow pierced the night
"Twas the glow of many candles, shining bright and strong and bold
And I knew then that it held your love in it's brilliant shades of gold.
For although we may not be together in the way we used to be
We are still connected by a cord no one can see
So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart
If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for your thoughts. It continues to amaze me that this family is always there, whether it be to answer questions, give advice or just pick someone up when they are down. The RV Dreams Family is a great bunch !!!! Thanks to Linda and Howard for starting this family and all they do.
Thanks RV Dreams Family !!!

Sharon and I would also like to pass on our condolences. We have also been in the same situation with past pets, and each time we have said, "never again". Then that special one seems to always come along and we are in love all over again.
As hard as it is, its really a blessing that we have the ability to help our pets when the time comes. I may get slammed for this one,but I think its to bad that we can not have this same right for ourselves.

Amen! We are able to stop our beloved animals from suffering but not the people we care about (including ourselves).

It's funny you would say that, I had said the same thing to DW the same day that we put Cinny down and I totally agree.
