Looks pretty cool. I'll have to dig my rice cooker out again. It's not as fancy as yours, but trying to eat more brown rice so need to check it out!
Thanks for reminding me!

It's really not that fancy. The menu button is so you can change between settings, the arrow up and down is to adjust clock, the timer is so you can set the time for when the rice is to be done (not when you want the rice to start).
Reset is your STOP button to turn off after every use.
By the way, I purchased it through Kohl's online using my Kohl's card and got 15% off, no shipping but did have to pay tax. $108.72 total.
Dig it out! You'll feel like you got a new toy again... :)

Congrats on your purchase! Zojirushi makes some of the best computerized rice cookers out there. That and National is all I'd ever own in an electric cooker. Rinnai is the best in a pro gas model, but it's very costly.
Unfortunately, its 3 cup capacity is a little too small for my needs, as I make a minimum of 4 cups at a time at home. But then again, we eat a lot of rice. :)
BTW, I'm a sushi chef. It took me 2 years of training, cooking several pots of rice every day to learn to consistently make perfect rice every time. We have very high standards for our rice. We must be able to judge the moisture content, sugar and starch content and adjust the amount of water, cooking time and temperature to match. Your Zojirushi rice cooker takes most of the guesswork out of it, using fuzzy logic to make great rice rivaling that of a professional chef (with a little practice, of course.)

I never knew what an art it is to cook rice. After researching the rice cooker online it's actually quite interesting learning about rice. Who knew!?!
