I looked ar a beautiful Damond today. The price was within our budger and it seemed to be spotless. I was looking through the kitchem and opened the fridge door. I just about lost my lunch! It smelled like a dead mouse was in there. I just left and went home. Can someone ever get that smell out. There was nothing in there. Could a mouse get up behind the coils?

I have found that when the frig is turned off there is a "smell" no matter how clean it is. Once it's cold....no smell. I've cleaned my three times, put boxes of soda....still a wierd smell.....sorta like dead shrimp. But is looks pristine! When I cooled it down no smell.

Use 409 cleaner before you store the RV block the doors open with the frig off and let it air, also you can get some packets of coffee, like the ones in a hotel room, to put inside it helps keep moisture out and smell good also.

Maybe I should go and have another look. I left because it smelled like a dead mouse. I could handle that anywhere but the fridge.

Had a bad smell in ours once...tried everything I could think of including, bleach, dryer sheets, ajax, etc. set paper plates with coffee grounds on two shelves and closed door. Checked next day and it was better. Within a week it was completely gone. Wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.

Likely from having the doors closed tightly for an extended periord. I have used Extract of Vanilla to eradicate such an ordor.

Doors should always be left open!!!
