Just a mental meandering musing..the DW and I have found, so far, the mfg, model and everything else 5er we think would most suit our comfort and needs to join in the RV life style when that time comes. At this time, a question comes to mind about where to purchase our hearts desire. Since we probably wont be spending much time up here in the Pacific Northwest, where we currently reside (will change residence to So. Dakota), it seems to me be it would make more sense to purchase a unit in the Midwest where we are most likely to spend the bulk of our time. This would make access to the dealer for warranty service easier and perhaps general dealer availability easier to access. Some folks we know did exactly this and even got a huge price reduction from what the dealer locally was asking. We've settled, at this time still a few years away, on the Cardinal 3425. We saw this unit at an RV show here in Portland last month. This is a new model and is viewable on their website.

We actually bought our fulltime rig 3 years ago and are not full time yet. We only use it for vacations now but we love it and are getting it ready for full time mode. So, if you don't have to wait for financial reasons, buy where you are and use it and learn about Rving before you go full time.

You might look to buy a brand that allows you to take the rig to any dealer, or mobile tech and get warranty repairs.
We bought our unit in Wisconsin and didn't go back to the selling dealer for almost 2 years, but we had a number of repairs and adjustments through other dealers and techs all over the country, without any problems.
Good luck,
