Well, I will be on the road within the next couple weeks. One thing left to do is purchase an extended warranty for my Endevour. So I wanted to ask who everyone uses and the value they get based on cost. I have learned over the years not all warranties are equal and while doing my purchase research most everyone said for used rigs, get your own and not to go with the dealer's. So who do you all recommend?

Just to be sure, you want to purchase an extended warranty on your coach and not emergency roadside service?
We bought the extended warranty on our coach from our dealer. It is not from Monaco, it's from a company called Prism. I used the Monaco warranty for the 1st year on our coach, then purchased the extended warranty just before the factory warranty expired. Cost me $3k for 7 years coverage. I have only used it once, to replace our super slide seal, so I don't know if we made a good decision yet or not. But given the demise of Monaco it seemed like a smart move at the time.
For road side service we use Coachnet. I have also used Good Sam ERS. Personally I won't travel with this coverage. I have had occasion to use both companies and I have no complaints. They have always taken care of us when we needed them. Great piece of mind when traveling knowing they are there to help.

I know that the extended can be a gamble and if this was a new coach I wouldn't be as worried, but being a 2001, I couldn't handle a major service expense without having to step back into a high stress position, so for now, I want that security blanket. I also tend to get gap insurance on new cars/trucks even though I have never used it. I have ERS with Geico, but have been thinking about getting the Coachnet coverage after seeing so many posts at Escapees about how good they are and how cheap overall.

I understand. One of the "problems" with the extended warranty is the way they are written and what they cover. By far the biggest complaint I see posted is when a non-covered part is the cause of the "big" problem and then the warranty doesn't cover the expense. Recommend reading the warranty very carefully.

We just bought a 2006 Paradise Pointe. Started not to get the extended warranty, however, it's worth the piece of mind. It includes the roadside service...... and we paid $20 more and now we have NO deductible when bringing the unit in for repairs or if we need help while out somewhere.
The name of the company is RV Pro-Care. It was recommended by several in the RV business. We also used their subsidiary for the RV insurance....the policy is National Interstate Ins. Co. which I noticed many on this forum uses.

Even if repairs never exceed the purchase of the warrarty, the peace of mind is worth a lot.

If a $10 part fails and causes more expensive
equipment to fail they will replace the $10 part
but not the 'colateral damage' to the other parts.
Been there, done that. I'm saving my money in
a rainy day account instead.

Several years ago I purchased an extended warranty for my Harley Davidson and to date I have used it once. Based on the frequency so far I would not expect to get my monies worth. Several folks have brought up an emergency fund and I'm toying with that idea at this point.
Setting aside $50 -$100 bucks per month or so might be a better investment. If you buy a new rig you'll have the factory warranty for the first year. At the end of the first year you'll have a nice little fund put together.
As with most things you have options.
