Howard, Now that you have now been fulltiming for just over 5 years, can you provide some feedback as to what kind of wear and tear you are seeing on your "home". I remember from Kerrville that you were seeing some marks developing on the carpet from the slides. Are you seeing any other wear, either cosmetic or structural? With what you are seeing, would you say your home would be in good, liveable shape for another 5 years, or another 10 years? What things can you envision having to replace or repair and at what point? Thanks in advance for your response.

Hard to believe it has been five years, huh?
I'm sure we will have to replace the carpet at some point, but it still may be a couple years out.
Other than that, the whole unit seems to be in pretty good shape. We've already upgraded tires, wheels, brakes, and suspension to improve the overall structure and longevity of the unit. Of course tire replacement will be every 4-5 years.
And we will have to replace our four batteries in another few years.
I'll probably have to recondition or replace the rubber roof at some point, but we aren't having any issues with it currently.
There is certainly no reason why the unit can't last another 5 years, 10 years, or more. We bought it with the assumption that it would last 15 - 20 years, and I don't see any reason at all why it wouldn't. It had better last a long, long time unless we suddenly inherit some money from a long lost rich uncle or something.
