There is only one Coast to Coast campground around ABQ, Hidden Valley in Tijeras. We like it and in August it would be good since it is higher elevation than Albuquerque proper and therefore cooler. There are a couple Good Neighbor parks on the west side of town that are dirt parking lots, a few dollars more than Hidden Valley and closer to town.

We have a new Corp of Eng park about 30 miles north of Alb. They did a fine job and Cochiti Lake is beautiful this time of year. We love it here so much we quit FTing and bought a townhome here in November. If you like a little more primative park, there is Tetilla Peak Campground on he east side of the lake, also a COE park. $20 night or $10 with Golden Pass.
