Arrived here at the RV park Thursday afternoon, our first as full-timers.
Our Montana has a rear kitchen with an A/C unit over that area. The second A/C is in the bedroom. Both have "dump" vents to blow air directly down and, when closed, the air blows through the ducting system. I believe they are both 13,500 BTU units.
The control panel for the units is in the hallway to the bath and bedroom.
Set at the same temp, the bedroom unit runs a LOT more than the rear unit. Additionally, there is water dripping outside related to that unit.
Now it has been HOT here...upper 90s...and the humidity has been very high, too.
I am wondering if this is normal because of the humidity, perhaps the thermostat is squirrelly, or ????
Will call the dealer tomorrow. We are stopping there in mid July for some minor tweaks before we head to Wisconsin.
Any ideas on this?

The sensor for the bedroom is in the AC unit itself. Therefore, it is in the highest point of the 5th wheel. Since heat rises, it should see warmer temperature more often.
I have a similar setup, and even with the living room setpoint 2 degrees lower than the bedroom unit, the bedroom runs more often and longer. BTW, our ducting is connected from front to back.

I don't know about anybody else but I have the same complaint.Thermostats seem flakey.I can't find a happy medium.They either run too cold or not cool enough.The water you see is normal condensation you will see from any air conditioner.

We don't go by the temp setting on the thermostats. Instead we have found the "I'm Finally Comfortable" setting by making adjustments until we get it just right.
Another problem we have is the thermostat is just above and to the right of our TV set. When the TV is on, the heat from it throws the thermostat into "got to get it cold mode". So we adjust the thermostat accordingly.
Lots of water will fall from the roof as the humidity goes up.
We've even had the A/C unit blow ice crystals a couple of times on the inside of the RV. Just real quick but it was quite a surprise and refreshing !! Our A/C is ducted and the ice came from the vent nearest the A/C unit.
The RV A/C units have been around for a long time so unless you've got a banging, clunking or clanging or no cold, it's probably operating the way it should.
