I have bought a 1995 Fleetwood Wilderness. They had replaced the refrigerator with an all electric, which is fine with me. There is a large roof vent directly over the back of the refrigerator. I was wondering if there would be any harm in blocking this opening?

Keep in mind that a refrig works against ambient temperature to keep the inside of the refrig cool. The more HOT air removed from around the refrig and in particular the coils the easier and more economically the unit has of keeping things cold. If you can leave the vent there it is a huge assist to the opreation of the refrig. Lowering the ambient temp is why so many put exhaust fans behind the refrig. CCC

Thank you Charles for the information. It is nice to have a place to come for people to share info with. It is easy to head off in the wrong direction without a little guidance.
