We are leaving, July 1, for an extended cruise, abt 4-5 months. I understand that most parks and St. National and private frown on washing the RV. How does one keep it clean? Should I haul hose, long handle brushes, nozzle and the like, if so where may they be used?
Thanks, CCC

You are correct ...most parks frown on rv washing. I only wash mine about twice a year, usually at a coin truck wash. Occasionaly a park will allow it...then a hose and sponge, I use the 25' garden hose in my trailer.

There are some parks that will let you wash.At those parks I use my water hose and a long handled brush I carry along with a bucket of soapy water just like anywhere. At parks that have a policy against it I use disposible towels and a spray bottle to just wipe it down. This will work unless you have been in real muddy conditions.I always ask and explain how I will do it.Have not been turned down yet. There are waterless cleaners available but are somewhat expensive.

There are some parks that will allow washing, but most don't. We're not too anal about it and generally get to wash it every 3 or 4 months.
We always keep our eyes open for commercial truck washes at truck stops. They do an excellent job inexpensively. Blue Beacon is a particularly good chain and we stop whenever we see one. For our truck and 36' fiver the cost is under $40.

We found out that if you're an Escapee member, you can wash the RV in any of their parks.

Agree with Racerguy and Fred. We are camp hosting right now so we can give it a good bath. But like Fred we are not too anal about it. Usually you can give it a spot wash with no problems.

Many private parks allow local mobile RV wash services to come into the park. I have used one and got a great wash of a 40 foot rig for $40.
