Un-screw the clear plastic top insert a disposable filter, screw back together, install it on your city water inlet. Or if you were young, creative and bord you could find some way to use it as a bong I would suspect. Woha, I'm sorry did I just step across the line? The part about the filter was competely un-called for. (Just kidding) It's probably not even refered to as a bong anymore. Flyone

Bear, I would try to shoot it but I am afraid I will hold the wrong end and end up shooting myself.

In all seriousness I thought it had something to do with the fresh water tank but wasn't sure because it was stored where I empty the gray and black water tanks.

Hey isn't that the blinker fluid reservoir for your RV.    Maybe the muffler bearing coolant assembly? 

Seriously, it looks like some kind of in-line filter/separator.

I actually had one of these for my Rexhall motorhome  that I owned previously.  They use it as part of the disinfection routine for the potable water holding tanks.  They tell you to put bleach in the clear container and that helps dilute the mixture as it goes into the tank... weird.

Have one of those that is similar to that attached to my in house water pump. GBY....
