Hello, I am new here so please bear with me. This subject may have been addressed before. I bought a 1995 fleetwood wilderness travel trailer. There was the black streaks down the sides. I lightened them up by problably 90% on 3 sides using purple power and a brush. It hardly even changed the back. I took it camping a couple of weeks ago and someone told me to get roof cleaner and it would take the streaks off. I tried today a combo of purple power, clorax, and ajax. This still only lightened them about 50%. Has anyone tried the roof cleaner on these black streaks. Thanks

One thing that will for sure remove the black streaks is Awesone Cleaner from Dollar Tree Stores. It costs a buck. But, and it is a big BUT, all wax goes with the Awesome Cleaner. Spray it on straght and rinse off. Extra bad streaking will require a bit of elbow grease, but not much.

Thanks I will pick some up tomorrow. I think the wax has been gone for some time on this unit. I plan on waxing after getting rid of the streaks.

I’ve used a product for years that works easy and doesn’t seem to take any wax off, nor does it require any real elbow grease.Spray on, wipe off. It’s called: “Black Streak Remover.”
Got it at Camping World 3 years ago and have no idea what it costs because I haven’t used the container up.It comes in a sprayer with 32oz of product.
Works for me

I also have used the awesome cleaner, only I was not smart enough to know when to stop scrubbing and the results are several spots that are bare metal. I ended up "spot painting" those areas.

Thanks for the suggestions. I picked up some Awesome cleaner yesterday and used it. It removed all the black streaks, there are some shading where the streaks were so I guess you would call them streaks just not black so much better. I will get some wax on it first chance I get. Thanks again for the tips. Ben
