How much smaller is a queen mattress in a motorhome than a standard queen mattress? We start our new lifestyle on July 1st. Currently we are picking our final top three motorhomes and the one thing I have forgotten to do is measure the size of the mattress.
As always any help and opinions are always welcomed.

It depends on the brand and model of RV you are choosing. Some are standard size and some are 6" shorter.

I believe that a standard queen size bed is 60" X 80". It's always a good idea to take a tape measure along when you are looking at RVs.
Some of those odd sized mattresses are hard to find sheets for.

Don't think that just because you are looking at a motorhome or any RV for that matter that the mattress will automatically be the short queen. The only short queen we ever had was in our little travel trailer years ago. Most manufacturers today will probably put in the standard queen. Jim is right....sheets for a short queen are hard to find.
Our motorhome has the standard queen size mattress with pillow top. It is the standard size...I think 60 x 80. There are many MH as well as lots of fifth wheels that now put in King size mattresses. I sure wish we had one of those!!!!
Take your tape measure with you.
