After the RV Dreams Rally and attending the excellent class on Blogging, we've decided to start our own.
While working on my first post, I have a problem with the program putting additional line spacing between my paragraphs. I want to have a space between each one but when I preview the post, there are 4 or 5 lines between the paragraphs.
Going back and re-spacing the post does not fix the problem, and when I again preview, the extra spaces are back.
I'd appreciate any help on how to correct this. I've been playing around all afternoon and can't get it right. Thanks!

I'm no expert, but when I finish a paragraph I just hit enter twice and it moves the curser down two lines.

Paul, which blogger are you using? Is it the Google Blogger?
I've also had that problem (I use the Google blogger). I've searched the Help section several times and I still haven't found the solution. It's worse on some of my posts than others. I finally got to the point where I just left the extra lines - sorry I can't be more help.

I just found a possible solution. I had forgotten that Blogger has a new interface called "Blogger in draft" for inputting your blog: find it at draft.blogger.com. If you're not using it, you want to switch over because it has more features and less bugs.
Log in at http://draft.blogger.com/. Scroll down to "Select post editor" and choose the updated editor on the Settings>Basic page. Also, use the Post Options feature to experiment with the line breaks settings; use the setting that works best with your post. You may need to start fresh with the post when changing settings for them to take effect so experiment beforehand.
Good luck!

Thanks all! I'll give it all a try. It's tough being a computer dope!
I've run into another problem with Goggle Blogger. I'm using Picasa for my photos. Several are in the folders sideway. I correct them upright but when I insert them into the blog, they appear sideways. I can't find any tool to rotate them in Blogger.
Any ideas???
PS: Roberta, I've been enjoying your blog!
Best Regards!

I have not tried the new Blogger Drafts program, but right now compose all my posts using Windows Live Writer. I publish the post and then go in and add photos from my pictures file on my computer. Windows Life Writer is a free program if you want to give it a look.
Happy blogging!

Hi Paul,
Are you saving the photos after you rotate them in Picasa? You have to have the photos basically ready to go when inserting in your blog, because you can't revise them in Blogger.
And I'm glad you're enjoying my blog!

Roberta,
Thank you! That was the key to solving my problem. It's tough work being a computer dummy!
Now I have to figure out what I'm doing wrong after I post a picture and contiune writing below it and the text starts from the middle of the page and expands to the left. I try resetting the justify drop down box, but so far it hasn't worked.
And BTW, what a view from your fifth wheel! Wow!
Best Regards!

Hi Paul, if you have already typed something that needs to be re-justified, highlight the text with your cursor first, then change the justification. Hopefully that will solve your problem.
Best, Roberta

I'll try that again, maybe my fingers are too fat or something. I appreciate your help, I think I may have to put you on a retainer fee!
Best Regards!

Old Snipe, Thanks for the compliments on the blogging class! You've gotten some excellent advice in this thread - and I looked at your blog and the paragraph spacing looks good. So, maybe you've found your answer.
I do notice that there is a lot of space at the very bottom - of the first post. My guess is that there are a lot of codes there that need to be removed. You need to be in 'Edit HTML' view to see them. Here is a video that goes into editing HTML - it's not exactly on point, but it may help:

Ahhh, MrsGeek, you've done it again!
You have turned a bumbling, computer blogging idiot into a slightly less bumbling, computer blogging idiot.
I think I need to have you on speed dial! Thanks for making the seemingly impossible very understandable, you and your hubby are both very gifted teachers...and alot of fun to be in class with!
We enjoyed our visit to your home during the open house and would love to host you for dinner when your travels bring you up to the DC area!
