Well I guess we kind of took the plunge. Made an offer on a 2008 Jayco Designer RLTS today. Its on a RV auction site so we have to wait for auction close this afternoon to find out if we are the new owners. I hate playing the waiting game, but if we win I feel we will get a fantastic buy.

We also have an offer in on a 2011 Heartland 3385RL - I know how you are feeling. You think you have a good deal ......... but do you? I guess it comes down to what you are comfortable with. Good luck with your offer. Hope it all works out for you.

Looks as though we are on the same path. I also see you have a Springdale, what model is yours? Ours is a 2003 269 RLLS or something like that. If the Jayco works out we will put the Spingdale up for sale.
Good luck on your purchase!!!!!!!!

Yes, we seemed to be on the same path. We placed our order on the Heartland, so now we wait till it is delivered.
By the way we have a 2001 Sprindale 26CKS. It is an older unit but has served us well over the last few years. My son actually may use it to live in on his Uncles property so at least it is still in the family.
Hope to meet you on the road someday ....... are you going to the rally?

Good for you Ron! Do you have a 36 RLTS or the 35 RLTS. Either way you have a great 5'er. We have the 36 RLTS (08). We love it. My brother in law has the 35 RLTS (10) and it also is great. You have bought a quality 5th wheel!

Well we will be on our way to Raleigh NC. the first of next week to pick-up our new to us Jayco. Its a 2008 Designer RLTS. Unfortunately one of the the present owners has been stricken with a serious medical issue and can no longer travel. They told me that it was only used three times for two weeks at a time when they had to give it up (only drove to church on Sundays). The price includes the hitch and he said he would also throw in one of those gizmos that chews up the Black Waste and a 100 gal poly tank that fits in the back of the Pick-up. What ever they leave in the unit we can have, not sure what that is yet. I hope its not like that old Eddy Murphy movie where he moves his family across country and finds out that his house has been stripped .
We had planned not to make any major purchases until after the house sold. After talking with the owner we bid $34,000 and ended up getting everything for $34,600. Checking around they seem to be selling between the low to mid forties.
Just had a thought, since the bank is going to own the title until the house sales, can we send them a bill for the 2500 mile delivery charge ??

Congratulations on your new Jayco!
We have a 08 Jayco 34 RLQS. We love it! We have owned Jaycos since 1981; pop-ups, TT and 2 5ers. We have been extremely satisfied with the quality of all our Jaycos. We purchased ours new in Oct. 08 and paid about $42,000 so I think you got a good deal!
We will begin full-timing in May. Can't wait to finally live in our Jayco!
