Any advise on purchasing a four season vs a snowbird rated 5th wheel. Plan on living in it for a couple of years then using it for trips south and for extended summer travel. Looking at a Bighorn model 3055. We have a 2007 Durmax to pull with.

We plan to fulltime for a couple years in our Cedar Creek which is snow bird rated. Life is full of trade offs, one of which is this is what we could comfortably afford and still be able to travel as we want. There will probably be time we will wish we have a full time rated trailer but will just deal with it. Some would not even consider anything less than a fulltime rated unit while just as many do quite well with a snow bird rated one .More personal preference than anything. This topic usually invites lively debate so you will get a lot of opinions.

George - Thanks for your thoughts. Four season units are quite a bit more expensive.
