We're now the proud owners of a 2009 38'4 Montana fifth wheel, 10th anniversary edition!
Wowsers!
Bought from RV Station in Nacogdoches, TX - thank you Charlie!
Really like those folks.
Really like our new home! Got a really good deal and our 5er is as good as it gets. Dave is having them put in a fireplace, so it may be 2-3 weeks before we take delivery.
Me? I do like the rear kitchen but even more so the Mor-Ryde suspension and Mor-Ryde hitch!
The quality of construction was nowhere comparable to the Open Range and the deal we got was less than the OR would have been.
Didn't think we could swing a Montana due to weight and $$, but we have! Sweet.
Gotta go grill burgers!

Here's a link to some photos. This is not the exact one we bought but the same floorplan. The interior wood and decor is slightly different color. Ours has a 2nd AC, slideout toppers, MorRyde hitch, etc. This is an ad by RV Station, where we bought ours.
The Montana Owners Club is a very active club according to friends with Montanas.

I'd want to weigh the prices now vs what we might expect to pay latter if / when Cap and Trade comes in that is going to act as a VAT to raise the cost of everything. Of course if you believe inflation is going to be minor over the next two years your way is the best.
I don't see it that way and would at least consider it if I stumbled on an execptional deal.

Mallo,
That is, among other factors, what prompted us to go ahead and buy at this time. There seem to be indications the economy may be turning upwards, we found a 5er and dealer we felt very comfortable with and were offered what we felt was a really good deal. Fortunately though, we are in a position to finance it for just a few months and then pay it off. Not everyone is able to do that and must make the choice that works for them.

Hey Heyduke,
We are in the same graduation class! We are targeting first quarter of 2011 to hit the road!
Lots to be done between now and then, but we're getting there, step by step. Nice to see someone with the same timeline!
Good luck with your research and finding your new home!
Cheers!
