Looking for campgrounds that can accomodate a big rig (60 foot length including tow) without requiring unhooking the tow.
Do not require activities in the campground but would like full hookups.
We'll be going through the Panhandle area on the way to Tampa and would like to spend a couple of quiet days before turning south to Tampa.
Any suggestions?

www.rvparkreviews.com is invaluable in my opinion but I trust views of those on this site a lot.

We have stayed at Eagle's Landing RV Park near Holt, Fl. It is less than a quarter of a mile north of I-10 at Exit 45. Their phone number is 850-537-9657. They honor an Escapees discount and possibly another. Easy in, out, minutes from the Interstate and very friendly ownerWe did not unhook our toad from a 40ft. MH and had plenty of room front and back. Nice dog walk area!

We stayed there about 5 years ago and enjoyed it. I think they have some longer sites but best to give them a call first.

We were in the Pensacola/Gulf Breeze area just this weekend visiting friends. We spent one night in a KOA in Milton, Fl right off I-10, Exit 31 heading east. This is an extremely nice cg and the sites are long. I would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Supposedly Topsail is a great place as well. We have never stayed but know plenty of fellow campers who swear by it, especially for big rigs. It is now a state park; previously a private campground.

You have got to try Navarre Beach Campground. It's a bit upscale but not overpriced and you are right on the beach.
Thank you!!!
Here's a summary of the recommendations:
Eagles Landing RV Park
Holt
Rate: $25
Ho Hum RV Park
Carrabelle
Rate: $29 - $33
Gulf Pines KOA RV Park
Milton
Rate: $39
Topsail Hill Preserve State Park
Santa Rosa Beach
Rate: $42
Navarre Beach Campground
Navarre
Rate: $45 - $80
The rates do not reflect any discounts for PA, Good Sam, etc.
Thanks again, everyone!
