Front electric jacks on fifth wheel will extend, but won't retract

I have a 2007 Keystone Everest with 3 slides. We took it out for the first time this weekend and used the front jacks to take a little pressure off the truck bed when we set up our site. When we left the site we retracted the jacks and were on our way. When we returned home to store the RV, we again extended the jacks to raise it enough to release it from the hitch. When we tried to retract the jacks they wouldn't move, not even a sound. Could the switch be at fault, or is there something else that could cause this problem?

Hi Gary,
Since it didn't make a sound, my first thought is check for a blown fuse.

I was wondering about that. Wouldn't the fuse run the whole control, including the extending as well as the retracting?

Linda is right on! There should be an in line fuse near the motor, either a 30 or 40 amp. Mine has blown a couple of times over the years, usually when I get over zealus and retract them to the max. I keep a few extras on hand just in case. I would make sure the fuse is good first.
Let us know.

I bought a new switch for the landing gear and it worked. However, I forgot to unhook the battery when I had to make some adjustments on the switch before securing it to the RV. So, I guess I blew a fuse at that point. I'm glad you both referred me to the fuse, because it was not obvious at all. Everything is working fine now. Thanks for the help.
