Looking for overnight parks in the area around Sacramento heading to Bakersfield. And for parks around Bakersfield heading towards Arizona. This is our first trip south for the winter, we expect to be travelling through in late November or early December and are uncertain how full parks will be in these areas at this time. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

You should find it easy to get into parks during the week. Weekends may be a little tougher.
If you choose to travel Hwy 99 there are lots of RV parks right off of the highway and within a few miles. We stay at an older KOA in Goshen which is south of Fresno and north of Bakersfield. It's about 2 miles east of Hwy 99 and has grassy spots. The staff is nice and you're far enough from the highway so there's no noise. It's a few miles from Visalia for shopping.
Along I-5 from Sacramento to Bakersfield there are fewer RV parks, but there are some truck stops, rest stops and big parking areas for quick overnight stops.
Here's a great website for researching parks along your route: http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/California/
If you plan on doing any touring, in the Three Rivers/ Kaweah area is the Seqouia RV Resort. It's very nice for a couple of day stay to tour Kings Canyon and Seqouias if there's no snow. The resort is right on the Kaweah River.

We stayed at Arena RV Park in Chowchilla and at Southland RV Park in Bakersfield, mind you that was about 4 years ago!

Depending on which way you're going after Bakersfield. There is the Orange Grove RV park just east of Bako on hiway 58, or right off 99 at the south edge of Bako is the Bakersfield RV Resort.

FYI - Here is the Webaddress for Orange Grove RV Park that includes the rates http://www.orangegrovervpark.com/
In December and January they encourage you to pick the oranges in the RV Park.
