I am looking very close at a 2003 trail Bay 5er By R-Vision 27RLSS. Does any one know any thing about them. This one seems to be very clean and looks like it has not been used very much if at all.
It still has the original tires but the dealer is willing to put new one on as part of the deal. I can't find any soft spots in the floor and it shows no signs of water damage or leeks. The GVW is 6215, GVRW 8250, it is made with aluminum structure.
The price is well with in my budget. I am a fulltime want a be and i was thinking if this is a goo trailer it would get me on my way and be good for four or five years until I can get a more suitable one for full timeing.

Well it has been two days and 0 answers. Sometimes silence speaks louder than words. I posted the same question on another forum and the answers were not good. Sooooooooooo I am going to rethink the Trail Bay and keep looking. Thanks to everyone for being very polite this has got to be a very good group of people. Dan

Finding the right RV is a very personal decision. No matter who you ask you will always get different answers to the same question. And I think there are some brands that, for one reason or another, stand out from the rest. Some brands are built to withstand the abuse of full-timing and others are built for the occasional weekend camper. If it were me I would try to narrow the field down, maybe 3-5 brands, and concentrate my search on just those brands and rigs that fit your budget. FWIW, we also purchased what I refer to as our "trainer" RV. Since we weren't sure if full-timing was for us, we decided to purchase an older used rig to test the waters. I didn't plan to keep it for very long so I made sure that the rig was in good shape so I would be able to re-sell it when the time came for us to upgrade. We ended up using it for 2 years, but we knew we wanted to full-time after our very first trip, but it took the better part of 2 years to shop around and find the replacement RV.
