When I started fulltiming nearly a year ago I bought a small Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner.  Needless to say it doesn't clean very well.  After workamping this sumer at Lassen Volcanic National Park, my carpet was in horrible condition, made worse by having a dog that sheds a lot.  I recently had some damage repaired by the Nu Wa factory in Chanute KS, and when I went to pick up the 5th wheel today and walked inside I didn't recognize the carpet.  They had vacuumed it, obviously with something heavy duty.

Does anyone have experience with using a regular household vacuum in an RV?

If you do a search I think you'll find that this subject has been cover a few times over the years. Bottom line - just about every type vacuum has been used
