Already posted this question, but in the wrong forum, Classifieds, so here goes again
Does anyone here own 2008 Winnabago 37G and how has it been for you. What has been good and what has not? Anything you care to offer would be appreceated.
Looking at a new one, never licened, but it is still three years old, 2008 2009, & 2010 are on the Winnabago web site, if not already on some dealer lots. I do know that the Destination model is not being made in 2010, that might have a negitive effect on the resale valu at some later date.
So here is the details: 37G with a GM Vortec Gas 8.1L 340ph Workhorse Chissis & 6 speeed Allison 2100 series Tranmison with two overdrives (dont know what 2 overdrives means), Two slides, Upgraded Paint, 4dr Refer, A/C with Heatpump, (not sure what heatpump means), Elictric Awning, and more. Winnabago has MSRP of $164752.
Im thinking a offer at or below $100000, what do you think?
Would this rig be a good full time rig, or would I be better off spending that kind of money on a quality used motorhome, say like a late 1998 or new Foretravel or equal?
thanks esw

I don't post much, but I had to speak up. We have a 2007 Winnebago Voyage -- we bought in last December. It was new & had never been licensed. It has everything yours has but the upgraded paint -- wish we had the upgraded paint -- and we have 3 slides. Other than that, we have exactly the same motor, same transmission, etc. The heat pump is the AC -- it's in the back of the MH instead of on the top. There's quite a bit of discussion on the pros & cons of having a heat pump, but we like having it instead of having the AC on the roof, etc. There's a forum -- rvforum.net -- that has a section just for Winnebago -- you could prob get a lot of info there. We plan on fulltiming in it, starting in 2010. We have three kids in three diff states -- NC, IL & OK. We have already put 6000 mi on it and have not had any major probs, even driving up & down the Smokey Mtns. We especially like the layout. We had a 5th wheel, but husb fell last Sep, breaking his heel bone. Metal plate & 9 screws later we opt'd for something we felt was easier to set up. As far as the purchase price, ours was listed for over $150K, but we ended up paying much less than that. They "needed" to sell this unit. We think we worked a good deal
Hope this helps. Good luck & I'll be watching to see what you end up doing.
