No, really. I will be part of a crowd scene for the "Warrior" now shooting in Pittsburgh.
I have done extra work before --in Pittsburgh-- and it's fun. Long day, but fun.
imdb.com has lists of movies 'in production, but I found this one through craigslist "ETC" column.

I understand the long setup time between filming plus the constant retakes to get the shot right can be pretty grueling.
The couple that bought our old trailer were active extras in many films. They enjoyed it.
Good luck with it.

Just like RV'ing, the answer is "it depends."
I worked 16 hours in the rain on a vampire movie in Pittsburgh. At night. Ugh. I worked 12 straight on the Dawn of the Dead sequel, but it was relaxing and not wet. Weird because of the makeup and costumes, but fun. I was hired, and paid, for 2 days' extra work on "Mysteries of PGH," but only worked 10 hours.
12 hours is considered a regular working day and considering how many unpaid hours I have logged as a sub-teacher and tutor, this isn't bad. You know what you're in for.
4 days extra work will pay all my vehicles' insurance for a year.
