Does anyone have input on camping time shares , IE thousandtrail, or any thing like it. How do they work, cost ect.

Most of them cost a lot, and most also have at least one annual fee attached.
It all depends on what kind of RVer you are. Just holidays, part-time or fulltime ?
Or whether you prefer the "resort" type places or the more scenic Corps of Engineers, State and National Parks, BLM, boondocking, etc.
I had Coast-2-Coast for many years, but they never seemed to be where we were going.
Escapees, and Happy Camper are not very expensive to start out, until you discover which kind of RVer you are.

We bought a used membership of TT. If you are a full timer you will get the use out of it, if only a wkend or vacation camper I would not buy into one. The TT we spent 5 months in Florida this past winter. It well payed for itself. Also the west coast has many TT parks. I am not sure what area that you plan to be. We also have ROD. You can ck the TT website. We pay a membership of 48.00 a month for the TT....ROD is 136.00 a yr. southwestjudy

Just wondering Judy, what was your initial cost for these memberships?

In answer to your question Fred, since we bought a used membership the cost 2 yrs ago was 2,900 ( this is a platium plus) and the 750 (transfer fee). TT has several plans that you can buy. This particular plan we have lets us make reservations 90 days ahead they can be canceled if necessary. We can stay 3 wks and go from park to park, high use areas such as Orlando we can only stay 2 wks at a time. Main thing is we can go from park to park and not have to stay the 7 days out. Our home park is Verde Valley, Az. These memberships are different it depends on what you want and if you buy a resale....some resales you can find on line cheaper. southwestjudy
