We're planning a trip to see the House on the Rock in Spring Green, WI -- we also want to tour the Winnebago Factory in Forest City, Iowa. Does anyone have a recommendation for a big-rig friendly campground that would be nice enough to stay in for 2-3 days somewhere in between?
Thanks for any help you can give us.

It's 180 miles between these 2 places, wouldn't you be more comfortable finding campgrounds at both ends? We have friends that just stayed at Wisconsin Riverside Resort in Spring Green and were happy with it. Check http://www.rvparkreviews.com/ for whats available in Forest City. Here's the listing

Good luck,

That's a good idea, but unfortunately we don't have time to stay a couple of days in each, and really don't want to stay just one night ..... so thought maybe a place between would work best.
Some friends of ours recommended the Riverside Resort too.... looks pretty good on the website, but it's pretty far from Forest River.

Slow down and enjoy! If you don't have time to see both this trip, go back again!

Here's another idea. I've been to HOR a number of times, although not in the last 10-12 years. It used to be doable easily in 3-4 hours.
Come to Riverside resort for an overnight - it is lovely, we just arrived yesterday for weeks stay. Get up in the morning and do HOR, they have RV parking, and then drive the 3 hours to Forrest River, see Winnebago the next day and then relax a day.
Or, depending on which direction you're coming from, reverse it and stay on the river here for an additional day.
