I'm plotting out our next purchase and realized that I don't know where they get the footage figures for TTs. If they say it is 20 foot, does that mean from outside tip to bumper? Or tongue to bumper? Or is that inside footage?

TT length is usually measured from the front of the tounge to the rear bumper

Well drats! Is there a place to find out what the length and width is Inside a TT?
I'm looking at a lot of them that are a fair distance from me so no way to run in an measure them all. It would be helpful to know what length to aim but I need inside measurements for that. :)
Kind regards

For the most part all tongue's are the same length so you can check one out and have a general Idea on length. As for interior width once again for the most part TT'S are around 8 feet wide .One thing you will find out is that you can take 2 trailer's the exact same size and depending on the particular floor plan you will have more room in 1 versus the other. Happy hunting,we looked at many 5ver's before we decided on the one we bought.

I suggest you go to the RV shows and look at these rigs or dealers. You can look at the floor plans on the internet but seeing one in person is the way to really get what you want. southwestjudy
