We placed the house on the market on Friday April 17. Our Open House was Sunday April 19. We got 2 offers that night and 2 more on Monday morning. We countered on the best one and got 99% of the price we asked for! This wasn't supposed to happen in this market...but it did! In 4 days!
Last weekend we had our second test drive on a 40' 2007 Allegro Bus QSP. Then we spent another couple of hours poring over it again and climbing on top to check things out. The owner kept it in immaculate shape. It is beautiful with more options than we thought we were going to be able to get. So we put earnest money down to hold it and he took it off the market. (see it on our blog)
We close the middle of May and will rent back for a couple of weeks. Then we will purchase the Allegro Bus and do a door to door move. I am negotiating now at work to go to a part time status for a few hours a week as a teleworker.
The day has finally come! Looks like we will be underway as Full - Timers the first few days of June. We are thrilled! The journey thus far (since August 2007) has been a blessing. Now for the best part.
We have learned on lot on this forum and have so much more to learn. We look forward to seeing you all 'out there in RV land'.

Randy and Pam-I am just TOO jealous. We had planned to be on the road in Feb but life not it the way. However, sold house to daugter and bought a new Montana. As soon as she gets the mortage, we pay off the Montana and what little is left of truck. Then -will hit the road.
From all acounts, you will love your new life. Best of everything.

Those Allegro's are nice units and should serve you well. Maybe we'll catch you out on the road one of these days.

Randy and Pam...way to go...Sherri and I are so excited for you two. We will be on the road the first of June also...As you know we have been fulltiming for 3 years but have been locked into jobs. Sherri will continue to work until we have the base camp completed and she gets all her Dr visits seen about. I hope we cross paths out there soon.

Randy & Pam,
Sold in 4 days. Congratulations. That is because you priced it right. Houses always sell for what they are worth, we just have to find the buyer willing to pay what it is worth.
Tiffin makes a fine product. You will have many years of enjoyable traveling. Hope you come to the October RV-Dreams Rally and show off your new rig

Wow!!! All I can say is "Wow." This is wonderful news. We are so happy for you all. Everything is falling in place. Believe it or not it gives encouragement to those of us with that wonderful sign still sitting in our front yard. Maybe the market is beginning to improve. Anyway, we are so happy for you guys and will follow your progress on your journal.
Have fun and enjoy this exciting time.
