We're purchasing a bike rack this week for the rear of our fifth wheel. It seems that the road grit would be hard on the bikes, but we've not seen consistent reviews regarding bike covers. If they're just going to rip on the first use, that would be a waste! We'd appreciate any feedback!

I've been using the CampingWorld bike cover for a couple years w/o any issues. There is not much wind directly behind a rig (so flapping is not too big a deal) so if you keep the straps tight on the cover you should have no problem. I wish I had used a cover long ago, what a difference to the bike. Covers are made for rear mount carriers and ladder mount carriers.

Thanks RV Dude! We have 4 bikes, so we ordered two of the camping world covers for our hitchmount carrier. It was a little tricky figuring out how to sequence placing the second cover on, but we got it and made a fairly long trek in high winds (West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico dust storms!). We were glad the bikes were protected and the covers appear to be just as we placed them. We need to work out something for the brake lights - one of the bikes blocks one side. Another stop at a RV accessory department will surely have a solution!

De nada! Glad they worked out for you! My CW cover is still going strong after 30k miles...
Now, if only CW can continue going strong amid their debt problems!!!

I pulled my fifth wheel into a Farm and Ranch store and brought out 4 different sizes of Tarps along with one of the sales associates and we opened and tried several sizes until we found one that covered both bikes and with the help of bungee cords they have done great in even the worst weather. It was cheep and a very good solution. Easy to take off and get back on. very inexpensive and does a great job of keeping the dirt and grime off the bikes. 2003 Volvo VLN630 2007 36 RS3 Mobile Suite 2007 Suzuki SX4 behind the 5er
