Was reading some campground reviews and had to let ya'll know about The Ponderosa in S. Central CO.  It is on Hwy 17 about 15 miles west of Antonito.  Beautiful campgrounds, backs up to national forest, on the Conejos river (with lots of trout).  They are closed now.  I think they reopen in May.  You do need to book ahead, they stay pretty full.  They also have a few cabins.  The owners are great and it is one of the friendliest campgrounds I have stayed at.
