We purchased our new TT a year ago, but did not like the furniture (2 chairs & 1 sleeper sofa) and they were all very uncomfortable. So when we purchased the rig, we negotiated a bit lower of a price if they'd remove the furniture. Then we went shopping, and the best place we found "non-RV" furniture that fit perfectly in our rig at a decent price - IKEA! It's made for small spaces, and we love our new couch, chair and table (we replaced a chair space with a small table - no need for so many seats, but there was a need for more tabletop). So keep in mind IKEA when replacing RV furniture.
When we bought our RV, we immediately HATED the sofa sleeper they provided. We really missed our recliners so decided to store the sofa to put back in when we traded and bought a reclining sofa loveseat. We measured carefully so we knew what size would fit. We looked at recliners and then loveseats. The loveseat was the best way to go. The backs slide off the sofa and so it was really easy to put in the camper. Hubby and I did it, no problem. We are much happier and confortable. The sofa being stored will be brand new when we trade the RV in.

We slowly replaced all our furniture. The Euro chairs were comfortable and we kept them for almost 2 years, but Jo wanted a rocker recliner and went out and bought a Lazy Boy. I liked her chair so much that I quickly switched also. The couch was hardly ever used and was terrible for company to sleep on, so we eventually just donated it to a charity and bought a blow up mattress to use for company. We will eventually add more storage pieces to replace the couch.
When we have people over for dinner, we bring in 2 of our new folding chairs which are VERY comfortable. Here's a link

I think most full timers switch out the furniture sooner or later, it is home after all.

We also got rid of our 2 recliners that came with our rig as they were heavy, big and bulky. We replaced it with only one recliner a Lazy Boy and it happens to be one just like Jo and Freds, we love it. However, we did keep our long 7 ft sofa and its been used a few times by grandson and my daughters. We do plan to keep it as we have added another mattress from Camping World and its comfortable sleeping on it. southwestjudy
