Does anyone know anything about Fleetwood products? We are currently considering trading for a 2006 Fleetwood Prowler Regal AX6 (new) with a rear living setup. It has a large frig and an electric fireplace. This layout will be great for us since our kids now rarely go with us.
The down side is that our current 5er is only a year old but we want the comfort of the larger (33' vs 36') unit plus the different floor plan. We are getting a great deal on the price and a fair deal on the trade.
Just looking for feedback about the quality of the Fleetwood 5er's.
Thanks,
Larry

I owened two Fleetwoods in my RVing lifetime. Both were good units and I never had one ounce of trouble with the 5th wheel itself...short of the appliances we had to have worked on but they were the same as the high $ rigs have. Keep an eye out for the plumbing fixtures and the cabinets which in most cases are cheaply constructed to offset the higher cost you would pay for residential fixtures. This is not to say you can't replace them with higher end fixtures later. Carpets are not as good a grade but then those too can be replaced at a later date. Overall the Fleetwoods have proven to be a dependable unit for us in the past before we started fulltiming. We had to upgrade to a better unit for the fulltime use we have now. My Sister and BIL have a Fleetwood they use once a month for two weeks at a time and it is doing well for them. Their unit is 4 years old now. Take care of whatever you buy and it will last you.
