Hi...Getting ready to put the house on the market and trying to get the 5ver ready to roll! Our latest question is the sewer hose. We would like a way to store it seperate from the other items in storage. We don't have a bumper on our Excel and so can't do the PVC pipe back there. Has anyone found any other solutions or is anyone using the 'sewer solution' kit? thanks for your help, Loralie

1) Sling a PVC storage pipe UNDER the rig. Look for the type with the fluted coupling end to easily handle the stinky slinky connector.
2) Anyone have flow rate experience with the "sewer solution?" From an engineering standpoint I'd be concerned it'll take all day to water macerate and dump your tanks. I'd also be concerned about the macerating ability of water, especially if you have a common CG 20-odd psi faucet. Also, not all dumps even have water available so you'd be stuck. Many state park style campgrounds don't have high pressure water either. No where does this product talk about dump rate, macerator ability, and how much input water pressure it really takes. Anyone?
I have a small compartment at the front of my RV that was dead space, I had a door installed for access. The compartment is about 2'X2'X18". I use this compartment only for the sewer related stuff. I wind the hose into a plastic container with a lid and put it in the compartment along with gloves and the garden hose I use for cleanup.
I just make sure that I clean out the sewer hose with each use and pour some bleach in the plastic container so it will slosh around as we travel down the road to help keep everything sanitary for the next use.

My husband installed a "Clean Dump" system with macerator. We have had it now for about 5 months and just love it. My husband designed his own way to carry the hose. He uses 2 hose hangers and it fits under our slide. When the slide comes in, the whole system is covered. When he installed the system, he had to drill into chasis to secure the macerator pump. The system is designed to go into a motor home, so we had to figure out how to install and store the system. We had talked to the manufacturer at The Rally in Perry GA this past March. We had called the manufacturer a couple of times during the install, and found them to be very, very helpful.

3) Consider a powered macerator like Sanicon. Far superior.
