We have a 2008 Carri-lite with a flat screen t.v. mounted in the slide. In order to get it hooked up we and our installer have been unable to remove the t.v in spite of the suggestions from Carriage and an r.v. repair guy. The 'Dish saga' has been ongoing for a month..... Anyone have any ideas for us slowgypsy?

The TV slides into the mount. I watched them put Rodney's in...you know he has the same as you...they just picked it up and slid in down into the mount? I assume yours is stuck and wont lift up??? Now that could be a problem. You might take a mirror and place it to the back and see if you can tell what is holding it down in the mount. May be a wire?? Just a thought.

You should be able to lift the bottom of the TV out towards you as you stand in front of it. If you lift up you only lock it in place. You must lift out before lifting up. If you can't lift out then it is stuck in the lock position and you must push down on the top of the TV which will allow the notches to come out of the locked position and you will then be able to lift it out and then up which will remove the TV from the slide. Hope this helps.

My flat screen mount has two adjusters at the bottom to lock the screen onto the mount.
The adjusters must be loosened enough to allow the bracket on the TV to come off of the wall mount bracket.
Once the adjusters are loosened I simply lift up the TV and it comes free of the wall mount bracket.
Yours may be a similar setup. Look for a couple of screw heads towards the bottom of the bracket mounted on the TV. May have to use a mirror to see them or feel around for them.
On my 42 in screen they are located approximately 8 inches on either side of center.
These adjusters or locks prevent the TV from bouncing off of the bracket.
I've seen some located at the top of the TV bracket mount.

It's called 'smoke and mirrors' or how many people does it take to get the t.v. off the wall? So far six people have looked with flashlight and mirror and no one can figure it out! Carriage said there was one 'knurled' screw to loosen. yeah right! Now it has somehow become unplugged as well. What a saga. We started this 'process' in OKC June 21. We are almost afraid to get it off in case it won't go back on. We're leaving Howard tomorrow headed to Woodland Park. The famous Jack Mayer is there so maybe he can figure it out. The good news, the satellite on top does it's dance and hopefully some day will show a picture on the t.v.! I guess Rodney had Dish or Direct t.v. put in before he picked it up. SMART move!!! What did we know at the time. Good to hear from you! Thanks. Lynda

I think we found someone to fix our problem! It wasn't 'simple' like unscrewing one screw the Carriage dealer said to do. It took about an hour for the guy to figure it out. Go to our blog on July 26 "From Among the Pines" as it's too long to explain here. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. It matters what kind of tools too you have, which none of us had!
