Hi all, Pam and I have been intrigued by the RV-Dreams family and have been 'members' for 6-7 months as we pursue selling the house and buying an RV. The choice at the moment is a 40' Tiffin/Phaeton Class A diesel. I started our blog: http://warnerrvnews.blogspot.com in an effort to document our process and get used to the idea of this form of communicating. We would love to have you check it out, make some comments and sign up for future updates.

Hello Randy and Pam
Looks like you got a good handle on the blog gig, I'm looking forward to following along to see how your plan unfolds. A thought on the RV, don't rule out a Good Used year or two old, low miles coach. That depreciation factor won't be quite as bad. Gummy

Gummy - good advice
That is exactly what we are doing. We are a few short months away from putting the house on the market and are scouring the web classifieds, dealerships and oodle.com for a 2007 or later Tiffin Bus or Tiffin Phaeton.
We will see...

Pam and Randy,
I love your website. We are on the same timeline but no website. We are going to put our house up for sale in April too.
Great choice picking a Tiffin. We took a few days and drove over to Red Bay AL a couple months ago to tour the Tiffin plant. It was quite impressive, super nice folks.
I would recommend doing that if you haven't yet. We stayed in a cabin on a corp of engineer lake called Bear Creek that was only a few miles away from Red Bay.
If we go with a mobile home it will definitely be a Tiffin. The new model with the rear
bathroom is very nice.
Hope we both sell our houses real quick

Thanks Dixie!
We agree -- we were very impressed with the Tiffin factory (check our Aug 22 post). We made a quick trip and flew into Birmingham, then visited dealers in Anniston AL, Red Bay (factory tour), Tupelo MS, Memphis TN, and Huntsville AL. We asked for pricing and test drove a Phaeton at all but one dealership.
We will have to check out where you stayed next time.
Meanwhile we are doing a lot of painting and repainting (softer colors). And cleaning out the attic and selling off some furniture. Our target listing date is April 16.
We wish you well. Keep us posted.

Hi Pam & Randy, I also added your blog to my favorites. I read several others almost everyday. We hope to start doing alot more traveling next summer after DH retires. Not full-timing but at least 1/2 or 3/4 timing. Hope to meet you at a rally or on the road someday.

Thanks for the reply.
I can't believe how fast it is coming upon us-- we will be 'out there' before we know it.
Likewise - it would be great to meet up with you sometime.
Happy New Year.
Randy and Pam
