We have about a month to go before we move out of our house (rental) and start fulltiming. We had a moving sale this weekend to try to unload most of our stuff. The house was a complete disaster after we emptied desk drawers, dressers, and kitchen cabinets. I could not believe how much stuff we had accumulated that we really don't use on a regular basis. Most of our belongings sold by 4pm. Those that didn't sell we put a "Free" sign on and they were gone by Monday (with the exception of my History of Statistics book, Physics book, and a Calculus book: can you believe nobody wanted these wonderful books :)
My husband took a picture of all of our junk loaded up on the lawn as a reminder that we never want to be at this point again. Why buy stuff you don't need or hang onto gifts that you have no use for?
Now that the house no longer looks like a natural disaster area, I feel relaxed and excited about our adventure that awaits us. The next step is to begin organizing the RV and getting it ready for the road. I also need to start a travel blog at somepoint. I've been meaning to do this for awhile, but there's so many other things to do.
