What about you? Do you have a least favorite campgroung you must frequent?  Tell us about it.  Maybe we will feel better.

This is our least favorite campground.
We are at the sticks and bricks again and the trailer is parked outside.  We stay here as little as possible but we are still tethered to the property which means chores we don't like to do.

It seems so strange that only a few years ago this was our place of retreat and comfort.  Now, well we just don't like coming home because this really isn't our home anymore.

Our young one is graduating this May, but is planning to stay in the house with a couple of other college students and spend another four years in the house.

One of these days we will get to sell the place but for now we will hang on to it.  This might be a blessing with the lousy housing market and all.

We do resolve to spend as little time as possible away from our more favorite campgrounds.  Don't know who will take care of the place but don't care right now.  We will work it out.

On the road again next week if all goes well.  Been boondocking for almost two months this year and love every minute.  Maybe do some fishing before graduation.

I'm not sure if this applies, but when hubby and I got married last year we went to a state park in the 1000 islands in New York it was an absolutely gorgeous campground (except the section we were in).  There were so many nonmigrating Canada geese...they were everywhere (as were the droppings they left behind).  It was pretty gross (and I don't gross out easily). They weren't able to give us a different lot b/c it was pirates week and everything else was full.  We tried to make the most of it, but after dodging goose poop for three days we packed up and headed to Canada (i think just outside of Otawa).   Turns out that there were hardly any Canada geese in Canada (go figure). We had a great time and really enjoyed the rest of our honeymoon.

On a brighter note, my favorite place to camp is my parents house.  They have a spot that is perfect with a view of the stream and mountains.  It is very peaceful and relaxing (no hookups though - but dad has a generator, also has a cord long enough for us to plug in).  I can't wait for summer!!!

To this point, after over 3 years on the road, our least favorite RV park has been Enchanted Trails RV Park-Trading Post. It is located along I-40 west of Albuquerque. It is in a very sandy area and on top of a hill to boot. The winds there whip the sand around and it piles up over the utilities. There are tumbleweeds every where. The site was a pull thru site but there were no paved interior roads and no paved sites. The winds and the sand everywhere and in everything along with the heat just made it a place we were happy to leave. My most favorite RV park is Mountain Views by Rivers Edge, near Creede Colorado. Of course my spouse may have a different opinion!
