We think Newmar makes an excellent product and 2004 is a good year since that is what we have. I suspect the tire size is 275/70R22.5 LRJ.

I don't have any personal experience with Newmar, but I know a few people who have them, and they really like them. I have not heard of any problems with them.

We also have a 2004 Newmar (Dutch Star) DP. We have been fulltiming in it since we bought it new in summer of '03 and have had no major problems other than the cooling unit on the fridge. (That was a Dometic problem). We purposely got a 2-slide unit so that we would have easy access to street side basement bins. We bought the DS/Newmar because of quality and good carrying capacity. We keep looking at newer coaches but have yet to find something worth trading for.

I don't know where you are in Michigan but it would be a good idea to travel to Nappanee Indiana and tour the factory where the coach you are looking at was manufactured. It would make a nice trip and there is no substitute for seeing how it is made first hand.

Call the chassis manufacturer for the final word on the correct tire size.

Good call RVDude. The Newmar coaches are made on Spartan Chassis. Spartan is located in Charlotte, MI also a great tour if you have time. Charlotte is right on I-69 just a bit south of Lansing.
