Howard, Is there any way for the program to make the posts a uniform size? Some of them are so small as to be unreadable to my old eyes, and I would love to enjoy them if possible. Regards, Fred

Hi Fred,
I've tried to change the default font for posts to this size which is "3 (12pt) Verdana". But unfortunately, I can't seem to get it to work. I have a support ticket in.
Here is the default font as of right now. It's a little smaller, but readable.
I always change the font to 3 (12pt) Verdana when I log in. It's a pain, but I agree that the default font is just a little too small.
Sometimes what happens is folks start typing their posts before the page has fully loaded in which case they get the very tiniest of fonts. If they would wait just a minute, at least the default font would show up. That delay just happens upon initial log-in and the typing of the first post in that session.
I don't view every single post, but when I see one with the really small font, I try to edit it to make it bigger. I'm just not very consistent with that.
So, I'm working on it. In the meantime, maybe this post will let folks know that if they wait just a little for the page to load when replying to a post or starting a topic, they will get a larger font. And maybe some folks will go back and edit once they have posted when they see the font is not large enough.

You can increase or decrease you font for reading purposes by holding down the control key and move the wheel on your mouse up or down at the same time.

To make it even more confusing, it renders completely differently in IE and Firefox. See the below (sorry for the reverse order, I didn't log in under ID). I use FF almost exclusively.
Get hint...I really like the "hold down control and move mouse wheel". Does that work on other things or just these websites? I'll have to give it a try!
Thanks
Paul

I don't use a mouse. I have gotten used to using the touch pad on my laptop. When I want to reply or post I open the quick reply window and then choose the go advanced window and use font size 14 point. If everybody did this it would be so much easier to read. Ray

You can also increase or decrease the font for reading with the mousepad on a computer. Hold the control key down and use your up/down arrows on the mousepad.

Or go to "View - text size", you can increase or decrease the font there.

It won't work on mine at all, with either the mouse wheel, or the up and down buttons. I wish I knew how to fix it, sounds like a great thing to have. Happy Trails, Penny, TX

DaveSam,
Thanks for the great tip. Now my wife and I can see that tiny print on some of the web sites that we visit.

Just above the clock in the lower right corner I have a zoom in or out control which will increase the view by as much as 400%. The control key and mouse wheel is good too!
