Well I am Leslie and my other is Bill. We have been discussing RVing for a long time and recently through a number of different things coming to a head it is something we are looking at more seriously. Your website is so inspirational. This weekend we went to a few RV dealers looking around seriously for the first time. We know we have at least another couple of years before we can leave the stationary work force but we are motivated to start planning. :)
Thank you for all your words and information, it really makes it look like a possibility and not just some crazy whim (as many of my friends keep telling me.)
I am sure you will see me around here from time to time. I am hooked on your journal and learning everything we can before we take the plunge!

Welcome aboard! I'm new here too and I'm sure that we found the jack pot with this site.

Welcome to the forum. Some people think we're still crazy, but underneath it all, I think a lot of them are jealous.
Some people will never understand the Full-timing lifestyle, and can't imagine that you are willing to get rid of all your "stuff" and then just roam all around the country.
Believe me, they don't know what they're missing

Well growing up my parents would toss the lot of us in the back of our station wagon and drive wherever they wanted. Frequently pulling us out of school and roaming the countryside. I always loved traveling and when I was 10 I wanted to be a trucker. The lifestyle has always appealled to me and now I may be able to get out and do it.
The more we discuss it and the more we look at our jobs and our current existance the more we want to do it now. We are planning to head out in just under 3 years (it seems like forever). That is our current plan. We had some extra time this weekend and for kicks we went to a dealer to look at RVs as a home rather then just a daydream. We started a notebook of things we will need to do and want to learn before we hit the road. While 3 years does feel like forever it also doesn't seem like anywhere near enough time to get everything done. :)
One day... one step at a time.
Thank you all for your encouragement. I am sure I will learn so much from all of you.

Welcome Leslie and Bill:
After full timing for almost 3 years we are still loving it. As others have stated, many folks don't understand and think we are crazy. Well we are crazy, like a Fox! We get to see new things every time we want and we meet the most wonderful people. We lived in our house for 35 years and we have more close friends now that we travel than we did then.
Thank you for all your words and information, it really makes it look like a possibility and not just some crazy whim (as many of my friends keep telling me.)
