I met a great couple while traveling, the first comment he said was " we are at 90/10 where are you?" He was referring to how well they get along full-timing. An interesting survey would be for others to "rate" their compatibility on the road. All we hear about is how great this life is, how there are no regrets etc. Obviously, full timing does have its challenges. By the way we are at 80/20 after six months on the road.

We are not yet fulltime but have a great deal more than 6 months together on the road with several 3 month+ stints. Give us a 90/10 at the stick house and a 98+/? on the road. Something about the focus on the road greatly increases our closeness. Yes we have spent many rainy days, windy days, and mechanically frustrating days in the rig but we seem to weather very well.

I think I would rate us at 95/5, it will be interesting to see what Jo says
I think a lot of couples who led somewhat seperate lives in their previous life, through work or child raising, might find the 24/7 of fulltime trailer life a jarring suprise.
It really gets down to your basic compatibiltiy and whether both partners equally want to abandon the stick house, family, friends, etc. and live the nomadic life.
It's not for everyone!

Well, Fred's always been a little clingy, and this life is perfect for that. LOL
Seriously though, I definitely agree with the 95/5 of Fred's answer. Even though I always characterized us as "best friends", I think our compatibility got even better after we went on the road. I no longer had the stress and distraction of my work and could focus more on our life together.
And we're in so many beautiful places together doing fun and amazing things. It's like a dream come true. Best thing we ever did. No regrets.
That is not to say we don't sometimes get on each other's nerves. That's only human. But it's easy to work things out.

How well do you really get along? Now that is an interesting question. I guess we are lucky. I was lucky enough to have married my high school sweetheart. She was and is my first and only love. During our life of work and raising 2 children we had little time for each other and we found that we really did miss that. Now we are together essentially 24/7/365. We don't always agree on everything but we have found that our love for each other has grown even deeper and stronger. We haven't regretted a day of the almost 3 years we have been on the road together.

About time I chimed in. We spent about 55% of this year on board our motor home. While on board, I would approximate our numbers somewhere around 95/5 or better. In the sticks and bricks the numbers do differ from this. It was more like 90/5 & 2TKOs.

My husband and I have been married 20 years. In that 20 years we have barely been apart. We have worked together, lived together and played together.....24/7 and we wouldn't change a thing. We have been fulltiming for 2 years now and it is even better than we thought it would be. Like others have said, it's only human nature to get on each others nerves sometimes, but making up and clearing the air is the thing to do. We know that we are soulmates and love the life that we live.....never regretted getting rid of the house and going on the road.

We have been Fulltiming for 2 years now...However I still work so we do spend some time apart. My wife and I have always dreamed of the time when we could travel at will and see all the country from our 5ver! It will soon come true and we will continue to be 95/5. We both like alone time to read and day dream so we do that instead of getting on each others nerve. That 5....well I have to say its is my fault...I have been conditioned to take the blame. Hope to see you all soon.

We had both been in long, terrible marriages and divorced them. I lived in Portugal and He in Texas and Tulsa. A few years before, he moved back home. Through a lot of prayer and a daughter who wanted to attend a small Christian college to become a minister, we ended up in his small town. I was working full-time and attending school full-time. I wasn't looking for anyone, I was busy healing. But as I walked home from work, I had been praying specifics of what I wanted in a mate. I wrote them down.
We worked together at the same company for months and had been praying for a mate. I had an entire page, two columns filled of who I wanted and he had prayed for a woman of the Lord who was a praying partner. He met everything on my list! It was in one long conversation on the phone that my list was being checked off. When we got together, I showed him my list and he was blown away. Within two months, he asked me to marry him.
We went out together after someone set us up. We have been together for over 3 years, married for over 1.
We are together all the time, no fights, no arguements. We are usually on the same thought wave and that is very strange for both of us, at least it was in the beginning.
We currently have a 700 ft. apt. and now a TT that we are so excited about using! Just has to get a bit warmer!
So how would I rate us? 99/1
Looks like a trip to AK is in our future! However, due to the JOBs we must fly up. Our youngest daughter and her AF husband may be moving up in May. This is something they have had for a heart desire for years.
Now we will again have 4 children as far as the east is from the west and as far as the north is from the south in the USA
