Welcome back Linda and Howard.
Ava and I just returned from a Cruise this past week and we can share your experiences. You can live a week of luxury and be waited on hand and foot, but when it is over we must all return to reality. When you return the towel you left on the bathroom floor will still be there, no Cabin Steward to pick it up. You want something to eat any time of the day or night, it is not only there, it will be served to you in a courtesy manner, now if I want something to eat, my wife says "You know where the refrigerator is!" (Just Kidding) No Midnight Buffets or Steak & Lobster everyday or those fancy desserts with the calories removed.
Having retired 3 + years ago, it is nice that we can get back into your regular routine and not having to return to our employment lifestyle. I would always suffer with PVS when I was employed. PVS = POST VACATION SYNDROME. It is a fear of returning to the employment scene and knowing that the vacation is only now a memory.
Cruising and RVing is my new lifestyle.
If you plan on having a RV-Dream Rally every other year, why not have a RV-Dream Cruise the other years. Sorry Howard about this suggestion, but it gives you time to crunch your 2009 Budget. Caribbean, Mexico or Alaska, count me in.
