Well, I'm still in the house....barely. My neighbor will be over today or tomorrow to finalize what she is buying. Then I can put any last pieces of furniture on the local sales trader (online). I have 90% of my stuff moved to The Lily Pad but not put away. The last major piece is the office stuff and I find I still have too much. So tomorrow I tackle that room specifically....UGH! <g>
I still hope to be out of here before the end of the month, the original date was by 10/15 but realistically it will be closer to the 20th. I head to Goshen to get some work done...found out my frig has a Dometic recall and my Ford has a cruise control recall. I need to get both of those done before heading out.
I have the trailer for my motorcycle and have all the gear packed into three rolling duffles. I still need to figure out where exactly the will fit so I can lash them down but have to get the motorcycle loaded first and will be trying that out this weekend. The trailer is going to be perfect....needless to say, I start to experience the terrors again when thinking about turning corners, pulling in/out of gas stations with that tagging along behind me.
I am signed up for an RV driving school in Feb at the Gypsy Journal rally in Casa Grande, AZ. But in the meantime I will have to deal with it the best I can and keep my fingers crossed.
So, what's up with everyone else?

Ribbitt, Froggi!
The RV Driving School is great! Ethel took their course at LOW last May. Dennis Hill was patient and proficient. You will feel entirely different afterwards.
Knee Deep!

Hey Froggi, Gummy here, well the house is just about empty, today Friday we will move the last of the furniture out, except our bed. The new owners bought the bed so we will use it until sometime next week and then put the mattress in the motor home. We should be living in the motor home by late next week. The big yard-moving sale is this week end, two day's should take care of it, then what ever is left will be donated. I hope everything goes well for you and you can be on the road soon as well. Stay Safe, Gummy.

Glad to hear it's all going well. I'm sleeping on my self-inflating mattress pad since the RV bed is still covered with "stuff" that needs to be put away. LOL!

Froggi,
You will be all right pulling the trailer. Just take your time and swing a little wider when making turns. Watch the trailer in your mirrors as you turn, and soon you will know just how much room you will have to allow. In no time at all, you'll get used to the trailer, and you'll be going around corners like a pro.

Froggi, Glad things are moving along for you. It must be very exciting to be able to finally move into your Lily Pad. Sorry to hear about the recalls but they will get those things taken care of for you. How was your time with the Grandkids? Did you guys have fun? Stupid question, of course you did.
Gummy, I am so glad things are coming together for you all. I am green with envy, LOL. Our house is still for sale and we wait and wait! We have had lookers but no contract. We actually had two serious lookers but no contracts. I am so glad your wait is over!!!!!! Keep your fingers crossed for us.
You all take care and keep us updated!

Thanks Roz...I met Dennis & Sandy at the Escapade but their class was already full. I had met the founder, Dick Reed, at the RV LOW in Bowling Green in 2006 but had no rig. So I am really looking forward to this...I know I will learn a lot.
Jim, I know it will be okay but I still get the terrors...LOL! I am looking into getting newer mirrors for my F-450 chassis, the ones I have don't stay put and the passenger side has two blind spot mirrors which seem to be confusing to me. (Of course that's easy to accomplish.....<g>)
Thanks HappyTrails, it was great being with the grandkids...they grow too fast. But BOY did I ever come home tired....LOL!

Hi Froggi,
I'm just about where you are, I think. I'm still sorting out and packing up the leftovers after my moving sale for store, sell, donate, but I can see the end in sight! The bed is gone and I'm sleeping in the RV, and I could be cooking out there too, but gee, it's easier to eat out, LOL!
I've decided to sell my little SUV that isn't towable without putting money in it and I got a bike rack for the back for a little short distance exploring. I'll invest in a toad and tow bar down the road when I'm more comfortable moving about with what I've got. Your motorcycle sure sounds like fun though.
I still have to clean up the house and oversee a few repairs, I'm thinking maybe a week, trying for even less, happy with a little more.
And some nights I'm so excited I can hardly sleep.

Way to go, Vee! My neighbor will be over on Thurs-Fri to pick up her stuff. If all works out I will move into the RV Friday night and by Monday the 15th be on the road. Keeping my fingers crossed....worst case, I will be headed out by the 20th.
The emptier the house becomes, the more real it all seems.

Jenny,
What's your estimate on when you are leaving? Looks like October might be a good month for the RV-Dreamers!

Well I did it! October 22nd, I pulled out in my RV and have become a full timin' wanderlustin' vagabondin' RVer! My legs still feel a bit wobbly, but I'm standing up on them, lol.
I spent the first week or so travelling slowly and visiting friends and family on my way out. For the last week and a half, I've been in Oklahoma, exploring southern Oklahoma's lovely lake country.
I'm heading for Mississippi where I'll spend the month of December, then I'll head for the desert.
Froggi, Gummy, Jenny, where are you all now?

Way to go, Vee!!! You've done way more traveling than me....LOL! I'm still stuck here in IN getting service done. Thought I would be leaving today but they discovered a major fitment problem with the new air bags and my exhaust system. Due to the banks exhaust the air bags that would normally fit...don't (well they do but too close to the exhaust for safety). So another set is on order...supposed to be here Monday, of course that's a holiday. Sigh....
