Looking for suggestions regarding the removal of a sofa sleeper from our 5the wheel. Is there an easy way to get it out of the trailer without dismantling it?

Sammie,
I was wondering the same thing. I have the same circumstances and hopefully someone will have an answer about the removal without the use of a chain saw.
What are your plans for the space?

Can't help with removal. We ordered ours without furniture and put in Lazyboy loveseat recliners. The Lazyboy stuff comes apart real easy so you can move it in. If you are putting something else in there measure real well before you buy.

We have a 94 inch sofa and love it. When we asked at the factory how it would be removed they said out through one of the fiver windows perferably the one with the saftey window and they said the back window would have to be removed but it also could be taken out that way. The fiver is built part way at factory and sofa is placed in before the final wall goes up. We use the pull out queen sofa many times in our rig it is a 36TK3 and a Doubletree Elite Suite. Hope this helps. You could also perhaps have help in getting it out the doorway. southwestjudy & Bob & 2blackdogs

You should call the manufacturer for advice.
On our Carriage Cameo, I understand the back comes off and it fits throught the door no problem.
Good luck,

I will add this....The back of my sleeper sofa comes off. Also the recliner rockers that we have the backs come off. Before you remove your back window check this out. We have some latches that you defeat on ours and then the backs slide up and off.

I remember a post about this on either of these: RV.net, Escapees Discussion Forum, or Nuwaowners.org. It was a very detailed explanation of how to disassemble the couch for removal. Basically, they all come apart pretty easily. Sorry I can't remember which site but it is definitely one of those. just do a search.
