I found this post on another site. After reading I would stay away from them. Also has some pic's on the site.
For all those who read my other post about our blow out with Load Boss tires (rear tire on passenger side blew) and interested can view the damage of the rig (2006 Forest River Cardinal 37RL) and the blown tire. Our insurance company (Mendota) is going to pursue the manufacturer (Vision Wheels markets these tires but they are Kenda tires under different label) to try and recover the $3500 they are paying for repairs. Altho the damage may appear cosmetic it tore out much wiring to brakes, slide out, tail lights and possible slide out misalignment. Many of the repairs will not be discovered until the dealer starts the repairs once parts arrive. We are replacing these worthless Load Boss tires (with only 1200 miles on them) with Michelin XPS Ribs. Insurance company wants all 4 tires (blown one plus 3 others intact) so they can have lab perform studies on them for possible defects. As you can see there is no tread left on this G rated tire and upon examination these are NOT steel side walled tires. Stupid mistake on Forest River's part to put these tires on a 15,000 lb rig. So anyone out there think its a tire defect or road hazard?
Kenda tires are "marketed" by Cooper (Firestone? I think). But I would suspect they are an off-shore company, perhaps far eastern.
Mike
ps: from the Cooper-Lenda site
"headquartered in Yuanlin, Taiwan, is the world's leading tire and tube manufacturer in Bicycle, Motorcycle, Agricultural, Trailer, Lawn and Garden, ATV, Golf Cart, Folk Lift, Automobile and other specialty areas."
Thanks
Al
